The Beginning

I have some, but limited knowledge in the art of photography. Most of what I know has been from prior photography students and what I have learned on my own over the past few years. I thoroughly enjoy taking photos of my different adventures, primarily being backpacking and fly fishing trips throughout Montana. I also tend to focus my photos on landscapes and wildlife. Below are a few photos I have taken the past two summers as I worked and ventured gorgeous Montana. Hope you enjoy the photography I have to offer!

This first photo was taken two summers ago with a friends DSLR camera. I happen to stumble across this Long-billed curlew while working for Montana FWP near Molt, MT.

This photo was taken last fall with a DSLR camera. I stumbled across this drake Mallard along with many other mallards at the Audubon Conservation Education Center on the south side of Billings, MT.

This photo was taken at what is now known as the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary in Red Lodge MT. This Great horned owl was not so pleased to have visitors.

This photo was taken with my iPhone 4S on the Stillwater river, near Columbus, MT. Nothing beats an early, foggy morning of fly fishing with a good friend.

This photo was taken about 2 weeks ago with my iPhone 4S (Then edited with an app called Tangled FX) near Mystic Lake in the Beartooth Mountains. This Stonefly behaved well while I snapped multiple photos. This insect and their nymph version are a large source of food for trout.

I took this photo the day before school started this week with my iPhone 4S (then edited with Tangled FX). Fly fishing the Stillwater river was the perfect way to kick off my final year of my college education.
